Father, I thank you that you are the sustainer of my soul. You know how much that means to me. There have been days when I have reached my limits. My heart would harden towards you in pain, and I couldn’t even open my Bible or pray. Yet your kindness and love would draw me back, through an answered prayer, a friend, a song or even a verse. Thank you for how far you have brought me.
Father, I thank you for the secret place you have created in me. A place where I can commune with you. You speak to me in ways I understand. There was a time I couldn’t feel you or let alone any emotions. Now I know what this verse means, “Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean. I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them (Ezek. 36: 25-27). Even in my biggest struggles with sin and shame you gave me a place to be real with you, to call out to you, and to know you as Abba. You have your being in me, and it is like a cool spring overflowing. I thought you were scary, unfeeling, and not for me. But You have taught me to love you. Something no one can take from me.
I thank you for being my ultimate Teacher and Counselor. Your discipline these past years has been effective. I am thankful for your steadfastness and faithfulness and provision. You brought the people I needed in the right seasons, from my family to mentors to friends and even complete strangers. I thank you for removing the things in my life that were harmful to me and walking with me in a place of solitude where I learned dependance on you. I am so imperfect and every day I stumble. But I am your daughter. You teach me about your kingdom and how to be a part of Your household. Thank you for this next new season. A season of celebration for the life I have in you. “And though the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your teachers will not be moved into a corner anymore, but your eyes shall see your teachers. Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘this is the way, walk in it,’ whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left (Isa. 30:20-21).”
Elohim, thank you for the visions and dreams and inspirations you have given me. You have a plan for me, I see it and it is something not only for this life but for the next. I hope that you will find me worthy of it. I look to my future with excitement. My schedule is cleared. I am available to you. Will you meet me here?
Yeshua, thank you for your gift of salvation. I am young, but I have seen enough to know that once I was of darkness and evil but now, I am of light. I don’t entirely know what this means, but my Lord, would you show me who you are and continue to reveal to me my life in you. I believe in you, help my unbelief. Finish the work you have started in me, to your glory. My prayer is that I would discover you for who you are, to discover myself and others for who we are, and to discover life for what it is. Be thou my vision. Would You look at me and see that Your sacrifice was not in vain. I look back at you in amazement. You are my ultimate prize.
